It is also interesting to point out that the privileged location of Platja d’Aro allows an easy access to several areas which may be of interest to our guests: the capital city of the region, Girona, only 25 minutes away, with the Jewish quarter and the Roman walls, which remain almost untouched; Figueres, 1 hour away, where visitors may enjoy the well known Dalí museum; the volcanic zone of la Garrotxa, 1 hour and 15 min away, the best place to have a quiet walk; or the Medes islands, in l’Estartit, to enjoy diving and snorkeling. We can also highlight that Girona is one of Europe’s most important areas concerning churches and Romanic art monuments.
